Very interesting post. Agree, it is sci-fi category and already happening. I recently posted on my blog (http://neeraj-quest.blogspot.com/2013/05/future-of-disparity-on-face-of….) related to the possible consequence of such research in relation to rising disparity in the world. My contention is that these developments may take disparity to a whole new dimension, which could in turn pave the way for permanent and irreparable divide between privileged few (very rich) and the rest.
